Centuries ago, the Valdichiana Senese was crossed by a river that has since disappeared: the Clanis. The podcast of the same name explores, over three episodes, the history and stories of the area, from its Etruscan roots to the present day, through its local cultural heritage.Like the ancient Clanis River, the narrative of the audio series flows through some of the most significant places in the Valdichiana Senese, taking listeners to archaeological sites, archives, churches, theatres and open-air museums. Guiding us on this journey are the voices of art historians, artists, and custodians of historical and literary memory, as well as the stories of people who chose to move here and found a new place to call home.
