SALVADOR DALÍ: EAT ME!
A Surrealist Feast of Art and Gastronomy
Until January 11, 2026, the historic rooms of Palazzo Bracci in Montepulciano host the exhibition Salvador Dalí: Eat Me!, dedicated to the relationship between art and food in the work of the master of Surrealism, spanning four decades of artistic production, from the 1930s to the 1970s. The exhibition takes visitors on a journey through childhood, desire and provocation.
The exhibition brings together more than one hundred original works —including sculptures, graphics, design objects, and unique pieces—from the renowned private collection of Beniamino Levi.
The partnership between Levi and Salvador Dalí, which began in Paris in the 1960s, led to an extraordinary collaboration that resulted in a truly one-of-a-kind collection. Today, this collection is promoted under the brand The Dalí Universe and is showcased in prestigious museums and cultural venues in over thirty countries, continuing to keep the visionary legacy of the great Catalan artist alive.
The exhibition explores Dalí’s intriguing connection with food, a recurring theme in his work, through iconic symbols such as eggs, lobsters, beans, and soft cheeses. These elements become vehicles of aesthetic, psychoanalytic, erotic, and spiritual expression, revealing the deepest and most surreal aspects of his artistic language.
The artworks engage in dialogue with the beautifully frescoed rooms of Palazzo Bracci, reopened to the public after ten years, creating an immersive experience that blends art, history, and taste.
Salvador Dalí: Eat Me! offers a unique opportunity to experience an unrepeatable encounter between art and gastronomy in the heart of Tuscany.
