A three-day journey through the heart of the Valdichiana Senese in southern Tuscany, among historic towns, landscapes, wineries and farms, discovering the area through four of its most representative products: Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, Pecorino di Pienza, Tuscan PGI Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Chianina PGI beef.
The itinerary follows the Strada del Vino Nobile di Montepulciano e dei Sapori della Valdichiana Senese, combining visits to historic town centres with encounters with the producers and businesses that preserve and share the area’s traditions every day.
This package stems from the first-hand knowledge that the Valdichiana Living team has of the area and its businesses, carefully selected through long-standing relationships with wineries, cheese dairies and farms.

Arrival in the Valdichiana Senese, accommodation in a selected farmhouse or hotel, and check-in.
Enjoy a guided tour of the historic centre of Montepulciano, exploring Renaissance palaces, narrow streets and panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside.
The tour continues with a visit to the fascinating historic wine cellars in the centre of Montepulciano: underground spaces carved into the tuff stone, where large barrels of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG are still aged today. The visit concludes with a tasting of local wines.
Free time to continue exploring Montepulciano and enjoy dinner at one of the restaurants in the historic centre
The day begins with a visit to a local cheese dairy, where you will learn about the main stages involved in producing Pecorino di Pienza and meet the people who continue this traditional craft.
The visit concludes with a tasting of Pecorino cheeses at different stages of maturation, allowing you to discover their aromas, characteristics and differences.
You will then have free time to visit Pienza, a Renaissance town and UNESCO World Heritage Site, stroll through its historic centre and admire the views over the Val d’Orcia.
In the afternoon, the itinerary continues with an experience dedicated to Tuscan PGI extra virgin olive oil at a local olive farm or olive mill.
During the visit, you will learn more about the characteristics of the local olive oil and how to recognise its aromas and flavours through a guided extra virgin olive oil tasting.
Return to your accommodation and free evening.
After breakfast and check-out, make your own way to a Chianina cattle farm.
During the visit, you will have the opportunity to learn more about one of the world’s oldest cattle breeds and one of the most representative of the area. You will also discover its historical connection with the Valdichiana, the farming methods used and the characteristics of its production chain.
The experience concludes with a farm lunch featuring Chianina PGI beef, prepared according to local tradition.
