On August 10, the most awaited night by wine lovers in Tuscany returns
Calici di stelle in Montepulciano is the midsummer night most awaited by wine lovers. The 2026 edition will amaze the public with the elegance of Montepulciano, where the embrace of beauty and taste becomes magic, with unexpected tastings of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG and Vino Rosso di Montepulciano DOC.
There will be three different kinds of tastings to appreciate the Montepulciano reds: guided tastings (to be booked online) in exclusive locations, in combination with typical local products; itinerant tastings in the historic center with the “star coupon”; tastings during dinner in the 8 districts of the Bravìo delle Botti di Montepulciano.

5 P.M. | Tour of the monumental wine cellars of Montepulciano – SPECIAL CALICI

6 P.M. | Parade of the Flag-Wavers and Drummers of the Bravìo delle Botti of Montepulciano

From 6:30 PM to midnight | Itinerant tastings with the classic Calici di Stelle formula
During the evening, visitors will be able to purchase the “coupon stella”, which includes a wine glass with glass holder and itinerant tastings of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Rosso di Montepulciano or cocktails made with Rosso di Montepulciano.
From 6:30 PM: Piazza Grande and Sant’Agostino
From 7:30 PM: the 8 Contrade of the Bravìo delle Botti
Coupon stella price: €15, available for purchase during the evening
At 7 P.M. and 9:30 P.M. | Seated tastings in 2 exclusive locations in Montepulciano, paired with local flavours. Two sessions lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes each.
Each location will offer a tasting of 3 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano labels, presented by the producers and paired with local products. Live musical entertainment included.
Terrazza di Vicolo del Leone (To make a reservation, click on the link) - Tasting with spelt and chickpea salad and local cheeses. Musical accompaniment by Clara Whites, saxophonist.
Loggiato della Canonica di San Biagio (To make a reservation, click on the link)- Wine tasting with Chianina beef tartare by the Consorzio del Vitellone Bianco dell’Appennino Centrale IGP.
Guitar and voice musical accompaniment by Simone Rocchi.
