Among the finest ceramics in Italy and Europe are those crafted in the Valdichiana Senese, where ceramic artists have handed down age-old techniques while refining styles inspired by contemporary, Renaissance and medieval art.
Majolica, ceramic and porcelain creations are embellished with natural pigments, gold leaf, silver and copper to produce distinctive colours and decorations.
As art history teaches us, however, learning to create great works begins with small things: during this two-hour workshop, you will work with clay, shaping a small object that you will then paint.
