During travel experiences some emissions are hardly removable. Despite that, thanks to specific actions, it is possible to reduce or balance them completely.
In order to reach this goal, a collaboration with the technical partner Up2You was established. The idea is to create international certified environmental balancing projects, validated according to well-known standards such as the Verified Carbon Standard or the Gold Standard. By doing so, a concrete and measurable impact on CO₂ emissions will be guaranteed.
Transparency is indeed a fundamental requirement for a well-structured process towards sustainability.

How does CO₂ balance work?

1. Carbonic footprint
Analysis of the carbonic footprint generated by travel proposals, identifying emissions associated to the proposed experiences.

2. Balance
For the irreducible emissions, Valdichiana Living contributes to finance certified safeguard environmental projects towards the partnership with Up2You.

3. Impact report / Traceability
Every undertaken action is documented in a report that offers a clarified and transparent view of our commitment to balance CO₂ emissions.
