Torrita Blues Festival in Torrita di Siena: 10 and 11 July

The "Torrita Blues Festival" is the music festival that since 1989 opens the summer festivals of the Valdichiana Senese, and brings to Piazza Matteotti, the beating heart of the village of Torrita di Siena, fans of this musical genre from all over Italy and beyond. This year the festival has confirmed its presence in July, on the second weekend of the month, Friday 10 and Saturday 11. Two dates whose programming is yet to be defined but, certainly, quality will not be missing: the Torrita Blues Festival is an appointment important in the national music scene. Among the many national and international artists who have been guests of the Festival in the past, we can mention: Taj Mahal, John Mayall, Robben Ford, Roy Rogers, Bettye Lavette, Popa Chubby, Canned Heat, Luther Allison, Charlie Musselwhite and many others .

45° Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte a Montepulciano: 23 July -2 August

The theme of the 2020 edition is Chaos and Creation - Science Art Utopias. Between music, theater, dance, performance, research, cinema and light installation, the Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte proposes programming appropriate to current times which confirms the artistic quality of the event also this year. Prestigious international and national artists are confirmed, while participatory projects with young talents are renewed. Bruscello Poliziano in Montepulciano: second week of August

The Bruscello Poliziano is a form of popular and peasant theater well rooted in the tradition of Montepulciano, recited and sung by non-professional actors. It is a representation, sometimes epic-dramatic, sometimes farcical, of episodes of everyday life, created from popular imaginations or from real events, traits of history or literature. For the summer of 2020, Bruscello Poliziano ensures its presence in the usual mid-August period

Bravio delle Botti in Montepulciano: 22-30 August

The last week of August in Montepulciano is traditionally the week of "Bravìo delle Botti", the symbolic event of the town. For those who do not know it, Bravìo delle Botti is the historical re-enactment of a challenge between the eight city districts, which in the past competed with horses, and today with barrels. The barrels, weighing about 80 kg each, are pushed and rolled by two athletes for each district, called "pushers", along the uphill path of about 1800 meters which winds through the suggestive streets of the historic center of the Polizian city until the arrival on the square of the Cathedral in Piazza Grande. The race is traditionally preceded by a well-kept and fascinating historical procession made up of over three hundred figures moving along the same path, offering flag games and images from the past. The "Bravìo delle Botti" ensures its presence also for summer 2020, as usual in the last week of August from 22 to 30, with a program of initiatives still to be defined.

Live Rock Festival in Acquaviva (Montepulciano) : 10 - 13 September

Now become one of the most popular and authoritative free festivals in Italy, the Live Rock Festival in Acquaviva has always combined a quality artistic festival with the tradition of the popular festival. It is completed with appointments dedicated to green issues and virtuous recycling practices, also enhancing the local culinary culture, thanks to a festival that offers a complete gastronomic offer. The rock star Anna Calvi, the rapper Salmo, the American band !!! (Chk Chk Chk) are just three of the names that have performed on the stage of the Fierale of Acquaviva (the venue of the festival). The Live Rock Festival ensures attendance for summer 2020 for four evenings, from 10 to 13 September.
