Ring Trail “La Sorgente” in San Casciano dei Bagni

The circular route starts and ends at the car park located just outside the historic centre of San Casciano dei Bagni. When you leave the car park, turn right following the Provincial Road no 41. You always stay on the sidewalk until you cross the new part of the village and at the junction for the Terme you keep to the right taking back the sidewalk. At the end of the sidewalk you take the first dirt road downhill (1.3 km from the beginning).

The road then becomes a natural background and past the old mill you can enjoy incredible landscapes alternating fields cultivated with olive groves until you reach Bagno Bossolo. After seeing the baths and having rested a little on the available benches, continue until you reach the center of the town entering from Via Tuzia and passing in front of the Church of the Conception (XV sec). The path leads us to the Town Hall and the Collegiata di San Leonardo (the main church of San Casciano).

Let’s take a little more time to make an additional tour inside the village and its wonderful alleys that tell the ancient history of the country. You then easily return to the parking via the stairs that are immediately on the right past the police station.
